Hello everyone,

The long-awaited Update is here! 😁🥳

Add-ons

Be sure, we've worked hard on the Add-ons for you.  We are offering you not only something fancy, but more importantly something functional, protective, and effective. Check it out in our Add-ons section! (Now, it's more at the top of the campaign.)

A lot of you were concerned about the long setup, the need for a big table, the huge amount of components, and how to easily store the game. All of this is solved by our ORGANIZER. It reduces the space requirements up to 50% (except the boards, map and quest cards, of course). Three cardboard towers even have a space for creating discard piles at the top of them.

Consist of 6 cardboard towers, 7+ plastic boxes, and 5 cloth bags. The art is not final.

Metal coins will be produced in 4 different values and colors. With this Add-on, you will also get a cloth bag for safe storage of the coins.

There are high-quality engraved custom dice for heroes (two per each) and a die of Hope. Each hero, as well as the die of Hope, have different colors and ornaments.

You can also choose premium quality card sleeves for all cards in the game.

We've added a new pledge - THE LEGENDARY PLEDGE! You will get the exceptional content in one pledge for a really GREAT price! And moreover, all of the additional content will be in a new great-looking illustrated box. 🤩 (The art of the box is not final.)

You can change your pledge anytime.

As for the Add-ons, for those who don't know how this works, we've created the instructions with three easy steps to proceed.

Dual-Layer Hero Boards

We've received vast feedback about the dual-layer hero boards. We wanted to give it a try even before we received your comments. We've worked on it and discussed it during the previous days. And these were pretty long days. 😰

Although we've maybe found a way how to do it, it would take at least a few months to test such a complex element. If we decided to add it to the campaign now, we would have to push the delivery date of the game for 2 months the minimum. Of course, we don't want to do this. Also, we think (together with hundreds of fans of the previous Euthia edition) that the dual-layer hero boards are not absolutely necessary for playing the game. And yes, we could just do dual-layer hero boards with a health counter but still, it would be needed to redesign the hero boards and you will be paying $10 - $12 for nearly nothing. Here is the concept of our idea of "next-generation" dual-layer for Euthia. 😉

Concept of the dual-layer hero boards.

Moreover, there is a high probability, this isn't the last Euthia's Kickstarter and we all will have something to look forward to.

Treasure Mechanics

We love looting and searching for treasures. However, we've realized that the treasures are not balanced in the best way possible. There are really strong items together with the weaker ones in the Treasure pile. Depending on this, there is always a possibility one player gains something strong at the beginning of the game while other players would always find something common.

So we've decided to upgrade the mechanics to be less random but more balanced. There will be 3 levels of Treasures in the game - item piles and new locations on the map tiles. We will start working on the graphic design of these and we will keep you posted about it. 🙂

The Dwarf is Coming!

It seems our fellow dwarf is at the doors and we still don't have a name for him! 😱

We've collected unbelievable 74 name suggestions in our Euthia Board Game Community on Facebook. From these, we chose 9! The final decision is up to you. You can vote for your favorite name here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/19ydRqivvp0F2HxrCbrtdTs032w4oMdgBF5F7766lfuY/edit?usp=sharing

The voting will end on 27 May, 4 PM, UTC time!

Language Survey

We remind you, there is a survey for the game localization shared with you in UPDATE #10.

Whoever has an interest in another language than English or Czech (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish) and haven't already voted, please choose one option in the following survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vO08YddtO2LduMNFtnVPFHaGHyuE9Ik2Xt_HOTixLpc/edit?usp=sharing

Intermediate results:

  • German version - 240
  • French version - 224
  • Spanish version - 101
  • Polish version - 92
  • Italian version - 34

We also added a new video in French by Es-Tu Game? from Canada to the Reviews and Previews section. Here it is as well:

Language Survey, Fulfillment Partner for Asia, New Avatars, and something more... 🙃
over 4 years ago – Sun, May 24, 2020 at 02:01:13 AM

Hello everyone,

The news is here!

We apologize for a 1-day delay in sending you the following language survey. A lot of things are in the process of development right now.

Language Survey

For the start, we would like to highlight that Euthia is not language-dependent if you know the rules. A lot of Czech players who tested the game in English with us actually don't speak English and there was no problem with it. Once you learn the rules from the translated Rulebook (and Appendix), the components in your mother tongue are not necessarily needed. It would be for a better feeling during the gameplay only.

At this time, we only anticipate producing the game in English and Czech

The Rulebook, Appendix, and all the components will be professionally translated to German and French and will be available for download and print on our website once it will be finalized. Other language translations will be made with fans who will work with us after the KS. We are in contact with volunteers for fan-made rulebook translations to the following languages: Polish, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, and Dutch. If you’re willing to help us with the rulebook translations, contact us at [email protected].

It seems the fundings are finally rising again but we can't guarantee you the complete localization until we reach $300K or we come to an agreement with some local publishers.

We created the survey to find out your interest in other languages. Although we realize the results won't be exact, at least we will have an idea about your interest in the given localization. On Friday, May 29 at the latest, we will publish an announcement about confirmed localizations of the game. This way, you don't have to worry and will have enough time to cancel your pledge if your preferred language is not confirmed.

However, as we mentioned at the start of the topic, Euthia is not language-dependent and after learning the rules from the translated Rulebook, there is no problem playing the game with the components in a language you don't understand. Mostly there are only titles and some description on the heroes' abilities.

Whoever has an interest in another language than English or Czech (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish), please choose one option in the following survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vO08YddtO2LduMNFtnVPFHaGHyuE9Ik2Xt_HOTixLpc/edit?usp=sharing

Shipping - Fulfillment Partner for Asia

We are still working on the best possible solution for shipping to the whole world.

Now, we've discussed our cooperation with VFI Asia and came to an agreement. It's great we can announce that the shipping not only will be customs friendly for more Asian countries but the prices are also improved for these countries. We updated the Shipping section on the project page so you can find more information there.

Avatars

It's nice to see those "well-known faces" all over the Kickstarter. 😁

We've created some new avatars for you including the Dwarf so you can choose or change them as you want. Please consider, the avatars are just for your joy and fun. They weren't and aren't meant for marketing support or something like that. Euthia logo would take the whole scene.

You can download the images on the following links:

Fan-made Wallpaper

We've received a fan-made wallpaper from one of our Czech fans. He's so kind he wants to share it with all of you.

Thank you again for your support, we really appreciate it!

See you soon!

Marketing & Add-ons news, Avatars, Diary, and others
over 4 years ago – Mon, May 18, 2020 at 02:02:27 AM

Hello everyone,

We are back with a new Update!

Advertising

We were talking about our cooperation with BackerKit in the previous Update. During the weekend, everything was settled and the marketing preparations are culminating. It's great to see the fundings are rising a little even now. Although, we don't expect an increase will be striking in the next week, the last week of the campaign should be more rapid. 💪📈

Add-ons

The previous week was marked by work on Add-ons. Depending on your feedback, we're working hard on the processing of a cost-effective and useful organizer for the game. Although it will help to organize components in the box, the main function of it will be speeding up the setup, saving space on the table, and simplifying manipulation with the big number of components. Cleaning up the game will be simple and effective as well.

Also, we have the first illustration of the metal coins for the add-on.

Avatars

One of our followers came with an idea to make Kickstarter avatars for those who want to support us even this way. It's just for fun but here they are...

Big Announcements, BGG Reviews, Lore Part 2 and What's in the Box?
over 4 years ago – Fri, May 15, 2020 at 03:44:37 AM

Hello everyone,

We have two big news for you and a few little ones.

Rulebook & Appendix

Since Euthia is a big and complex board game, we wanted to be sure the final Rulebook and Appendix will be 100% ready for you.

We are happy to announce that Paul Grogan, from Gaming Rules!, agreed to work with us on the English Rulebook and Appendix. 🥳

Marketing Support

You probably noticed that we are having a lag in promotion at the moment. Our plan is to make some boost in a few days. We came to an agreement with a known company - BackerKit. Let's hope the Dwarf will finally wake up from his lethargy and become a member of our “team” of heroes. 💪🍻

BGG Reviews

If you ever had the opportunity to play the game on Tabletopia or with a physical prototype, we would appreciate your help to spread the word by adding your rating/review on BoardGameGeek here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/295785/euthia-torment-resurrection

One of the latest reviews made us really happy. You can read about the solo play here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2428095/euthia-solo-play-review

What's in the Box?

Can you imagine how many are 1450+ components in Euthia: Torment of Resurrection? It's maybe not a professional photo but we tried to show you what's in the box in the form of 'skyscrapers' and piles. 🙃

What's in the box?

Story of Euthia - part 2

Learn more about Euthia in the second part of its storyline.

The Black Gangrene

War, local skirmishes, and peasant revolts have scarred the people, the towns, and the landscape. They have left festering wounds that will never heal. Even all these long years later, the sores of blood feuds and political intrigue continue to disfigure the country. Looking back, however, this seems to be just the harmless mutual teasing of naughty brats compared to what was about to come...

Rulebook Translations, What's in the Box and Others
over 4 years ago – Thu, May 14, 2020 at 08:14:33 PM

Hello everyone,

We are bringing you some news. Some parts will maybe answer your questions from comments and messages. You can find more in our Diary here.

Rulebook Translations

We would like to reassure you that fan-made translations of Rulebook, Appendix, and game components will be available to download and print on our website even if we don't reach the limit to produce the whole game in a specific language.

We are in contact with volunteers for rulebook translations to the following languages: French, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Czech, German, Greek, Portuguese, and Dutch.

There are some texts on the components but we are confident it is possible to play the game with the help of the abovementioned materials.

There is plenty in the box

Euthia: Torment of Resurrection maybe does not contain a lot of miniatures, but the amount of components is vast. You can find illustrations for every single armor and jewelry piece, monsters, hero abilities, natural resources, gems, essences, map locations, icons, and plenty of others. However, it's not only about the illustrations, but each of these things has its own function in the game. That's the reason why the game is replayable that much.

This statement is supported by videos - Previews and Playthroughs - you can find on the project page.

The game is maybe different but we worked on every single part of it to be fun and strategic at the same time in every gameplay you play. If you have any doubts, please send us your feedback. Maybe a small detail is missing, which we didn't realize could be important for you, to be sure about us, this project, and Euthia itself.

Part of Items in Tabletopia interface

Tabletop Simulator

One of our fans put a lot of effort to create an interface for Euthia in the Tabletop Simulator. You can try it here: Euthia: Torment of Resurrection - Tabletop Simulator. Thank you, Adam!

(Please consider it is not checked by our team though.)

See you all in another Update!
