After some time, we've got things to share. 🙂

Graphics

Our artists are working hard on finalizing the illustrations and designs for the game. There's still a lot of work to do but you can at least taste some new monsters below.

Rulebook & Translations

We’re working on finalizing the English Rulebook and Appendix together with Paul Grogan from Gaming Rules! but since we need to include new information and rules (for unlocked Stretch Goals, some minor changes and corrections, etc.), it will take some extra time. Also, we started finalizing the Rulebook a little bit later because we had some technical and other issues on both sides.

For the mentioned reasons, we‘re planning to start working on translations to other languages at the end of July. We will keep you posted. 

We planned our timeline with some time slack so this translation delay shouldn’t affect other activities needed for the game finalizing and getting ready the mass production

Pledge Manager

Although we started working on the final shipping costs right after the campaign end, we're still waiting for some information from our fulfillment partners. It's because the summer started and a lot of people are spending their time on vacation. 

We really want the best shipping prices for you so we don't want to release the Pledge Manager too soon. The Pledge Manager is planned to be opened till the end of September so there will be plenty of time for your response. 🤓

Playtesting

We're finalizing the game mechanics a lot these days. The latest news is about the Griffin.

Currently, the hero can call the Griffin from the distance (4 hexes) when they have a trophy from a defeated monster in their sack. This trophy serves to feed the Griffin so then he will transfer you up to 4 hexes.

We're still testing this mechanic but it is fun and it works really great. We really think you'll like it. 🤩

What's New, Elemental Miniatures, Not Unlocked Stretch Goals

Hello everyone,

We're back with some news. 😎

All payments have been already completed by Kickstarter. If you are the one whose payment didn't get through, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] and we will help you. 

Now we are waiting for the funds to be able to hand over their parts to BackerKit (marketing partner), Eastar Game Manufacturing (production partner), and a lot of other partners (our teammates included) because we've already started preparing the Pledge Manager, future Pre-orders and the production itself. Although we are publishing only one game, we found out 26 products were created during the campaign due to 4 languages and Add-ons. That is quite a lot! 😁

Elemental Miniatures

After long discussions and your feedback, we came to a conclusion. It wasn't an easy decision because we wanted to satisfy both groups. It will cost more of our money but we think it will be worth it.

All elemental miniatures will have a color wash finish. However, we are still waiting for some details and the final confirmation from our production partner. This means elementals should be distinguishable very well on the map but for the enthusiasts, there is still an option to paint them nicely. 🎨

Not Unlocked Stretch Goals

This topic was discussed and calculated really hard but unfortunately, we can't add the not unlocked Stretch Goals as Add-ons to the Pledge Manager. Mainly for two reasons.

  • There would be a large time burden on our team.
  • We can't specify the exact number of people who would be interested in these and we can't risk that it would ruin us financially. Our budget is quite fixed and we can't subsidize more bonuses.

However, we decided to add the Elite Monster Cards Stretch Goal, which is almost ready, to the core game so everyone could have it.

During our campaign preparation, we ran into an interesting project whose campaign ends in a few hours and we think some of you could be interested in it - Dawnshade: The Watchers Prophecy. They are first-time developers.

Hello everyone,

Well, yes, we are taking some rest but we are still here with you in some way. 😁 We still receive tens of messages daily from you and we react to them. We thought it would be good to officially announce what will be next.

Late Pledge / Pre-orders

We're not planning the standard Late Pledge, i.e. all of you who supported us on Kickstarter will have the exclusive price. We're planning to publish Pre-orders page soon though. The prices there will be about 15% higher than the prices on Kickstarter. However, this is also good news for those who missed the campaign because they/you will still be able to pre-order the game for a slightly better price than the retail price will be.

Payment Problems

If you have any problems with your payment through the Kickstarter platform and you cannot solve it on your own, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] and we will help you.

Pledge Manager

All backers will be able to upgrade their pledge and add any Add-ons and even game copies to their pledge in the Pledge Manager. The Pledge Manager will be opened in July and you will be notified about it by email.

A lot of you ask about adding locked Stretch Goals as Add-ons in the Pledge Manager. We're planning to discuss the possibilities of it in the following week as we stated before. Please be patient.

We are "under attack" by the Czech media. 😁 We are the most successful board game on Kickstarter in Czechia. More interviews are coming. The current interview can be found on Aktualne.cz. You can also watch the interview on Pandemicon. Both interviews are in Czech but Google translate and YouTube auto subtitles should do their job. 🙂

Our dear friends, backers, and followers,

We'd like to share some things with you! 😊

Thank you!

During the process of developing Euthia, we often thought about how to get our game to people who will enjoy playing it. We didn't want to make any compromises. This was the reason we weren't offering the game to publishers and chose the way through Kickstarter. Of course, we met a lot of obstacles here together with different marketing tricks and advice to force people to find our project here. However, deceptive advertising tricks are not our thing, and that's the reason why we decided to make our own path through it all. We've tried to make a community that will truly love Euthia.

In the course of campaign preparations, we were concerned about how it all will go. Our goal was clearly set though. To create such a Kickstarter campaign that will help us not only to finalize and deliver a beautiful game to all our supporters but also to allow us further development of the game. Another goal has been getting the opportunity to prepare another project and truly become the publisher, not only officially. Our journey doesn't end and a big challenge lying before us, but we are able to make it with our great team and even more wonderful fans. 😊💪

With all of your support, you helped to create one small studio which will gladly stay small and will work on all its projects with the same carefulness as on the first one. This all is because of you, as we can see the carefulness has a deep meaning. ❤

Stretch Goals

We revealed two new Stretch Goals for you. However, we will be continuing this journey next time I guess. 

As for your frequently asked question about adding not unlocked Stretch Goals as Add-ons to Pledge Manager, stay assured that we will discuss this topic after calculating all possibilities of our team and timeline management. We will let you know before opening the Pledge Manager in July. Please be patient, these decisions have to be carefully considered. In the course of the whole time before receiving the game, we will be in regular contact with you. If you have any questions about anything, don’t hesitate to ask on our Facebook or email [email protected]. Please consider we will not be able to answer everything in a matter of days all the time. Our team will need some rest after the campaign ends. We will have one week off to take another breath. 🙃

O'Johnny is getting more and more famous these days... 👀

My reputation in Euthia is growing every day. They call me O’Johnny the Cleanmind. I would prefer the Boisterous, but nevermind. However, even heroes need to rest sometimes and refill their inner strength and purity. Since my stamina was a little bit depleted, I was happy to take refuge for a few days in dragonslayer towers. Somebody could feel sorry for exchanging the golem's crystal for upgrading gear and wagon, but I found out that it is not practical to travel with this big shiny thing shrouded with dark magic.

Game Localization & Translations

We will start working on finalizing English Rulebook and Appendix next week. After this, we will also contact all of you who offered their help with professional-made and fan-made translations so we could start working together on it.

18 Hours to Go! New Scenarios, Explanation, Elementals, and Golem 🤩

The last 18 hours remain until the end of the campaign and we have another Update for you! 🤗

Revealed Scenarios

Yesterday, we revealed new Add-ons containing 3 scenarios. Some of you were a little disappointed to pay more money to get these scenarios. We did not want to upset you. As we stated before, we will offer all the content as accessible as possible so you will be able to make it on your own and play these 3 scenarios as well. So there is no need to buy the content as long as you are able to print some cards and reference sheets and substitute the elemental standees/miniatures by something else (for example by 4 different color wood pieces). You can find more information in the scenario descriptions below.

Even though yesterday's revealed scenarios are not finalized and properly tested, their concepts are ready. Please consider the given component numbers can still be changed and the scenarios can be modified during and after proper testing.

Requirements for the scenario: elemental standees/miniatures (or any items that can mark/symbolize 4 elemental types - 4 items for water, 7 for earth, 7 for air, and 7 for fire elementals), 4 scenario quest cards, a sheet of rules

You will be able to choose one of three scenario levels. Each one will have a different map setup. Also, you will start with different equipment and skills to choose from.

Your main goal is to gather resources for revoking elementals. When you revoke the elemental, it will disappear together with its global effect. There will be no harm done to all players' interaction tokens.

Requirements for the scenario: starting map tile in Chapter V – The Ruins (or you can use Destroyed Library Legend tile, to begin with), 4 Artifacts of resurrection (or you can use artifacts from the Brasath Scenario - the Battle Horn, the Scepter, the Sacred Goblet, and the Ancient Scroll), a sheet of rules

Your hero wakes up under ruins after finding the Artifact of resurrection. The only problem is the ruins are in Forbidden Land (Chapter V) and you have to find your way through fire elementals and deadly enemies. Time is running out and you have to hurry to find the Church and bring the Artifact there. If you are defeated or killed during your journey to the Church, the Artifact you're carrying with you will resurrect you. In the Church, you will acquire equipment the priests got ready for you and will go for the final kill of your predetermined enemy.  

Requirements for the scenario: elemental standees/ miniatures (or any items that can mark/symbolize 4 elemental types - 4 items for water, 7 for earth, 7 for air, and 7 for fire elementals), 3 abyss map tiles (or you can use Defense magic tokens, from the Mirrezil scenario, to mark designated hexes for closing the abyss), a sheet of rules

You or your group have to collect as much dark magic Faer as you can and use it to move all 4 elemental types together on the designated place to perform ritual/rituals to close the abyss. The more dark magic you collect the more powerful all the monsters will become.

Explanation

All of you who just want the game and great game experience, the only thing you need is to buy the Core Pledge and the Standee Miniature Pack for $10. This way you will get all the necessary content to play these 3 new scenarios - you will get a little expansion for yourself this way. There are 6 basic scenarios in the game. Paying the extra $10, you will get 3 more scenarios, i.e. 50% scenarios in addition.

For those who love their games fancy with plastic miniatures and so on, there are the special editions - Legendary Pledge and Legendary Pledge Tier II.

Other Two Elementals

We are bringing you the first art of the other 2 elementals - Fire and Earth. Please keep in mind we will still be working on elemental illustrations and 3D models for the final product. You can look at the latest version for all of them below and in the relevant sections on the campaign page.

Walking Destruction 

Finally, we got there and have another scenario for everyone - WALKING DESTRUCTION (competitive/solo, 75 minutes per player)

The Crystal Golem got into trouble. The dark magic flowed into his “veins” and our heroes' quest is to get him rid of it by using Faer near him to suck it out. The golem will move around the map during this scenario and endanger everything around him.

Of course, there will be a standee for the Golem as well. Do you want to look at him? There he is...

Also, O'Johnny had a big part in the Golem's rescue. 😁

Yes, this is the part of that big golem over there. What an adventure! Nothing pushes you forward more than following the steps of a respected hero. I saw Dral and his companions trying to help the golem. They provided me with this precious jewel for giving them good pieces of advice during the rescue. Moreover, I’ve played an important role as a distraction for the giant. You have to be swift to scurry between the falling rocks.
